SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

O.K. Industries Ltd. of Victoria B.C. is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of financial statements on a monthly basis and a key advisor on all accounting related matters.

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

1.	Prepare and review journal entries, maintenance of the general ledger and all supporting documentation.
2.	Complete month end accounting processes, analysis and production of financial statements for a multi branch, multi faceted organization.
3.	Direct supervision of two accounting associates.
4.	Assist in implementing and reviewing accounting policies and procedures.
5.	Maintenance of corporate wide equipment database.

Qualifications:

1.	Enrolment in or recent completion of a professional accounting designation program.
2.	7 - 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
3.	A strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
4.	Excellent communication, supervisory and leadership abilities.
5.	Self starter, with the ability to work with limited supervision.
6.	Experience in the road building, construction or related industries would be an asset.
