ISLAND ASPHALT has operated in the Victoria area for over 40 years. For many of those years, the company worked under the names of O.K. Paving and Victoria Paving until these two firms were amalgamated in 1981. Since that time, Island Asphalt has grown into the major paving company on lower Vancouver Island, serving Victoria and the surrounding communities including the southern gulf islands. Two asphalt plants, competent employees and a complete line of well-maintained equipment are available locally. We also have the ability to respond to tight schedules by borrowing workers and equipment from sister divisions on Vancouver Island.

Our downtown Victoria asphalt plant location is also home to our quality control laboratory where we complete in-house testing of asphalt mixes and aggregates. Our quality control personnel also do asphalt mix designs and conduct quality control of work methods.

Recent projects completed by Island Asphalt include:

  • paving of the Millstream Connector Route
  • grinding and paving of Highway 17 from Wain Road to Mt. Newton X Rd
